We try to analyze various political and social phenomena in Korean society in recent years, and discuss the possibilities of radical changes of Korean political environment by the active public communications and performances. In conclusion, there are some limitations to explain and interpret the candle demonstration by the political ideology perspective, on the other hand, the perspective of performance studies gives us new implication of the demonstration. In the processes of the candle demonstration, the power of the mass not controlled by the elites is come up in the front of Korean society. This phenomena imply that Korean society moves from hierarchical structure controlled by the elites to horizontal and pluralistic structure. It can be interpreted that the mass get out of the seats of spectators in political arena controlled by the elites, and act their own performances in the demonstration. It implies that the Korean mass is not just passive consumers of politics, but also active producers of politics.
